My iPod moment

Jeff Jarvis asked the readers of his blog to let him know when would be the "iPod moment" for newspapers and TV. His post is here . Now usually I can resist commenting because I feel that responding to such requests is just doing peoples homework for them. However in this case I added a short comment to his post and will now add a  more general  rant.
An important symptom of Too Much Technology is Unnecessary  New Words.
I have no idea what an "iPod moment" is and Jeff didn't define it (I still commented though - hey this is  the internet!).  We are feeding our intellects on little candy word bites and twitterings instead of the organic wholemeal bread of sentences and paragraphs. So we have "Web 2.0" instead of " a prototype application with a fashionable user interface, limited functionality and little support" .  And we now have "iPod moment" instead of...
